New York Mets Hit Into Unassisted Triple Play…At Least Nobody Injured (That I Know Of)

Rats, none of us predicted this!

Jeff Francoeur hit one to Eric Bruntlett (second base) who turned an unassisted triple play….wait for it….to end the game.   Pedro Martinez got the win, but he can send Ollie Perez a thank you.  I’m bored with “Bad Ollie” articles so go type his name into Google if that’s your thing.

To the best of my knowledge no Mets were lost for the season today, but you never know.

Since this season has been so wacky:  I’m predicting the first no hitter in Mets history tomorrow, with Bobby Parnell throwing 145 pitches in an 8-0 domination of the Phillies.  Parnell will last 1/3 in his next start with a sore arm and be lost for the season.

That’s 4-4-4 for those of you scoring at home.   Go play the numbers.
