Maybe Blue New York Mets Jerseys Are A Terrible Idea

From time to time I suggest the Mets look at blue uniforms, like the ones from the early 80’s.

Here’s Gary Carter in a St. Lucie Mets uniform.   Look at the mismosh  blue with Tom Glavine era black lettering, a black cap, pinstriped pants, BLACK socks.  Can you imagine the hideousness if Charlie Samuels were able to dress the New Yorkers like this?

We must never let this happen in Flushing.   Hideous mix.   Worst ever.

  1. i don't like the Blue with Black the way they've done it, but the blue with just orange and white is good.

  2. The Mets' uniform problem didn't come from the introduction of black. The problem has always been that the black and blue pieces just don't look very good together.

This picture provides a perfect example.
