Well I’m back from vacation, did anything happen in New York baseball while I was away?
Let’s take a look at the most popular articles from the week, and I’ll catch up on comments in a little while:
New York City had a tickertape parade…no not that one…the one for the Mets in 1986, and Dan posted his pictures (nice job scanning them, or did you own a digital camera in ’86?). Seems like a long long long time ago, doesn’t it Fred? Fred?
This next one is funny….it got totally ignored when I posted it, then since the Yankees won a World Series suddenly I’m getting traction: I think the Mission For The 2010’s should be Three World Championships. Not meaningful games in September, or a wild card, nor a division nor a pennant. Rings. On Wright’s fingers. Nothing less. Three. Lets go Omar…you called Lackey yet?
Does Citi Field make you feel less connected to the Mets than Shea did, or am I just in a mood?
Are the Yankees the team of the 00’s?
Should I take my kid to Giants Stadium?
People are still digging my call for Uniform Unanimity…and commenting.
