Since the lockout of 94 no one cares about hockey any more. even more so nobody cares about hockey in NJ. When was the last time you heard someone ask if you saw the last game?
i completely agree. That was actually worse than when they sat out an entire season. They had NYC feverish for hockey, a new deal with Fox who was taking the sport very seriously, and they blew it. Messier splitting town to wear a fish on his jersey didn't help.
Marty is God, and the Devils are a team worth rooting for (not like our Mets). The Mets could learn quite a few lessons from the Devils, and I don't see any Mets making the NHL's team of the decade.
