I decided to try to get tickets this morning (as an exercise) since I have this whole blog thing going.
I found the server responded very quickly and it was very easy to connect. Â Read into that whatever you will, I’m going to stay positive and assume the Mets have an awesome infrastructure that deftly handles high ticket demand.
Just poking around:
I was able to get seats in the Promenade Infield for the opener. Â Earlier in the week I was unsuccessful. Â I may stink at the internet, or someone’s credit card canceled, or they released more tickets. Â I have no idea. Â I’m just saying you may want to try since we’ve all collectively decided that Promenade Infield offers the best relative value.
I decided to look at other big games. Â Since the Yankees games are not part of this I couldn’t think of any big games, so I looked at August 1st. Â That game looks like it is selling pretty well, I was only offered seats way out in left field.
At 10:OO AM, I picked up tickets in Promenade sec 525 for opening day. It was easy.
August 1st is part of the weekend pack. There is a good chance they are holding inventory in hopes they can sell the 15 game packs, which is why the tickets were hard to come by on the individual sale, compared to opening day which they know they have to get rid of ASAP
I just got my ticket for August 1. Selection wasn’t that good. Nice $12 in fees for a single ticket. I’d love to know where all that money goes.
$12 in fees for ONE ticket?!!!!
the fees went to crazy glueing the “C” back up on the the stadium.
Plenty of $150 + seats left for opening day if anyone’s still looking. Something tells me this isn’t going to be a sell out.
yeah i was surprised after the PromRes offer came up, I threw back pricey seats several times.
You guys were lucky – I tried multiple times today for Promenade Reserved tickets for Opening Day, and was only offered $150 seats.
Of course, they’re still offering PromRes tickets as part of the six-packs, so you know they’re holding some back. Annoying.
Fees are always crazy for single tickets because they tack on that ‘order’ fee as well as a ‘ticket’ fee and it’s more noticable when you’re not buying a couple.
