(Link) Pictures from inside the Mets Museum

Here’s what we’ve been waiting for..and now that we have them, I am not going to look. I decided I want to experience this with fresh eyes, and I’m going to head out there Sunday morning. Look for a fat guy in a blue Seaver and say hi.

If you can’t wait…Chris took pictures from INSIDE the museum. Tip of the blue cap to Metsblog for pointing this out to the general public…too cool not to link here too.

  1. From the pictures this looks like there was some actual thought put into this and not some cut and paste quickie..also looks like the wilpons opened up the purse strings too.

  2. it looks awesome. my only question is what too the Mets this long to do this? Most of this should have been there a year ago. We also should get a big thank you from the Mets for participating in a giant usability study of their new ballpark. our feedback seemed much appreciated.

    1. dyhrd – this week I am trying not to dwell on the sins of the past, but the overall theme of this blog has been that so much of this stuff was obvious. Me, you, any random Mets fan could have suggested most of this had we been given a tour in December 2008. The whole “Dodgers” thing could have been avoided had their been balance. Now there’s ironically a culture of people bitter about the name Jackie Robinson.

  3. LOL The guy put Leslie Nielson instead of Lindsey Nelson in one of the captions. See Mets fans…anyone can make a mistake.

    LOOK ITS ENRICO PALAZZO!!!

  4. Yes Randy, I – a.k.a. “this guy” – misspelled NELSON…yes it tends to happen when I rush to post the images so they can be shared with fellow fans like you. Happy to provide comic relief for ya

  5. Shannon,

I’ll look for you on Sunday. I wasn’t going to go, but these museum details have convinced me to make the trip from Central NJ.
It’s even been enough to distract me from the fact that my first Sunday game happens to take place on Wednesday April 7.
I’ll be decked out in a blue cap and trying out the eggshell jersey I received from the girlfriend for x-mas.
Keep up the great work with the site.

    1. Thanks Paul – they sold “Sunday plus” plans this year and I’m supporting them in their changes for good. Last year I would have gone to town on that topic.

It’s a long ride for me too but I’m (a) jazzed, (b) spend way too much time on a certain hobby of mine and pictures will help and (c) Mrs. Mets Police wants to go to Manhattan anyway.

  6. Chris, wasn’t trying to hammer you. My point was that no matter how devoted we are, we all make silly mistakes from time to time. It’s just funny how hard people look for the Mets mistakes and how hard they come down on the team when they do it.
