Wow wow wow..K-Rod out for the year because he hurt his hand in the fight. Â This team is cursed.
FLUSHING, N.Y., August 16, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced that right-handed pitcher Francisco Rodriguez has a torn ligament in the thumb of his right pitching hand and will be unavailable to the club to pitch tonight.
He did not travel with the team to Houston following last night’s game and today was examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
An MRI revealed the tear and Mets Medical Staff has recommended surgery to repair it. The date of the surgery is yet to be determined.
I got distracted (thanks to Media Goon for tipping me on this one)…..
….a tad late but here’s the lineup. Â I guess the Ike Davis era is over. Â (Someone will want to post some stats to explain it to me, don’t bother.)
Get Jerry out and let Bob Melvin play the kids until Cyclones season ends and then get Wally in here even if it’s for the two weeks.
Meanwhile, void that contract and see if you can get Oliver Perez and Castillo to fight each other.
Folks, if you ever decide to start a blog – pick the Mets as a subject. Â It is a gift that never stops giving. Â I haven’t been home in a week and had very little to write about for tomorrow. Â Um, thanks K-Rod?
