The Mets went undefeated at home on Tuesday.
I propose the Mets sell “guaranteed victory” packs. Your plan gets you a ticket to every Tuesday home game. If they don’t win you can come to the next weeknight (Monday through Thursday) game for free. If they lose again you get invited back.
Why is this brilliant?
1. It’s fun
2. It involves the fans
3. It’s marketable. Say “Pepsi Undefeated Tuesday”
4. Fannies in the seats buy hot dogs and shakes.
Walt (@formerdirtdart) projects the Mets will finish with 2.575 million which would be just short of Dave Howard’s pretty spot in prediction of 2.6
That’s not a bad number for 1994 but in year two of a new park in 21st century New York it must be disappointing.
I doubt that the Wednesday games would be so full tat the Mets couldn’t accommodate everyone who bought the Guaranteed Victory pack.
Run with it Dave. It’s all yours. Maybe next year we can catch that game together in Promenade Left. The tickets and first beer are on me. You pick the date.
