As much as I suck at blogging, I’m actually pretty good at day job. I have an awesome team of guys that play really hard for me.
A few years ago I would catch some attitude from folks who felt it was easy to do what I do.
I would let them know that I am not arrogant enough to think I’m the only person who can lead my guys, but I am the guy leading and deserve some credit. Who knows what another manager would do.
Joe Torre won 4 times. He was criticized for not being good enough. He won 4. Maybe not everyone can do it. Girardi looked pretty solid a year ago, this morning I think half the Yankees fans would replace him.
Davey only won once. He sure had the horses. 85 and 88 were teams that could have gone the distance.
Willie may have had the horses. Zilch.
I’m an upper deck manager like everyone else. I would have gotten Hughes out early, and let CC, Woods and Mo get me to tonight. Figure it out from there.
Maybe that’s stupid too.
Torre pushed the right buttons more than most.

I actually think Girardi is a good manager. Last night though, he managed like it was June 27th.
