The New York Mets, Goya Foods and City Harvest team up to deliver 20,000 pounds of food to New York City food pantries during the holiday season, beginning with a distribution at The Community League of the Heights in Manhattan.
Goya Foods pledged to donate 20,000 pounds to City Harvest in celebration of Goya’s Hispanic Heritage Night at Citi Field in September.
Carlos Beltran ,Olga Luz Tirado of Goya, and Shannon Barbuto of City Harvest will be at The Community League of the Heights donating the food.
The Community League of the Heights is dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life for residents of the Southern Washington Heights area. Its pantry helps feed more than 400 families a week by distributing food packages twice a week to senior citizens and adults ranging from 18-45.
