I’ll watch the rest of this later. That was a fairly good pairing of Rizzuto and Seaver. Certainly a ton better than what the Yankees have now.
You’re looking here, although you wouldn’t know it, at the birth of the next Yankee dynasty. It started with the losing, and then the banishment.
Sometimes I wonder if the Mets haven’t hit bottom enough to get that kind of turnaround. I.e. did they lose enough to scoop up some high picks in the drafts?
