This next one came to me via Matt Cerrone at Mets Blog who was asked a question by one hos readers (I believe named TJ – let me know sir or madam if I screwed that up.)
Anyways….here’s the image.
Looks like dog tags, right? But the Mets weren’t in Vietnam or anything…well 2009 happened…but why would there be Mets dog tags. So I started googling because the whole secret to my blog is Google and hope someone emails me something…and this combines both!
I punched in all the numbers, nothing.
And what is “New York Mets Stad”
Tried CANAM. A-ha!

When I did all this a few weeks ago I found a link from 2006 that referenced Can Am building Citi Field (I can’t find the link) so what I think we have here are the tags for the steel that are in section 406.
My cousin worked on the construction of New Shea, those are indeed the tags for the steel used in the construction.
