I was there for every game that year…
I was working for the Parks Dept. As i posted earlier Shea was never the same after 1975…Every day was game day.. the place was a disaster.
I was hoping the answer was The Captain & Tennille.
the two years the yankees played there i would love to go to yankee games just to boo them. the yankee logo atop the score board was really weird looking, the field was in bad shape and the yankees would exit the field after the game through the visiting dougout!
no wonder steinbrenner hated the mets when the yankees were roomates at shea.
the yankees offices were in the parks admin. building, they used the jets locker room and were denied the use of the kiners korner studio.
in my collection i have a letter from the yankees on parks department/shea stadium stationary.
