It’s one thing when some kook in a Lee Mazzilli jersey writes about attendance, but since Perception Is Reality the Mets cant be too thrilled about The Times writing about $3 tickets available on the secondary market.
I’m sure Dave Howard is right that sales pick up when the weather gets better (Media Goon failed at convincing me to come tonight), and as we pointed out last week the numbers for the first home stand were comparable if not better than 2010.
That pesky 5-11 start though….that’s a problem. 11-5 and I probably say yes to Goon on a rainy night. 5-11 and 85 degrees and I probably say yes. A dreary night in the rain against the Astros? That’s a tough sell.
And my seats are better then yours too
I’ve been to 3 Mets games already, & wore my winter coat & gloves at two of them. The weather is keeping me home this week, not the Mets’ record. I’ll be there for the day game on Saturday.
I almost went tonight via stubhub, but am going to make baked ziti instead and go tomorrow.
I’m looking on stub hub for this friday’s game (friends are in town and want to go) and I am seeing field level tickets for $17 and Delta Club tickets for $71!
Looking farther into June/July though the ticket prices are back up to normal levels.
