Daily News columnist Bill Gallo passed away at the age of 88.
For those of us who grew up in an age of newspapers (before ipads, twitter, blogs, AOL, WFAN, sportsphone..) the News was where you got your sports, and Gallo’s cartoons were the spot that captured the zeitgeist. It’s all so splintered and different now…but if you’re over 40 I bet you are a little sadder than you were this time yesterday.
