Thinking about ‘How I Met the Mets’ season 2

With the rainout, I started pondering season 2 of How I Met the Mets. This season should be better since I have a better handle on the technology, and with Media Goon’s help we’ve done some fake-flashback shooting such as the planned “Rusty” episode.

(Hey if you’ve got authentic uniforms and a replica Shea Stadium we can shoot in let us know…)

Other thoughts/concepts:
– Keith Hernandez
– 2009
– Howie Rose
– Lee Mazzilli

Let me know if you have any suggestions for topics. One thing to keep in mind is that these things need assets. It’s going to be hard for me to make “Joel Youngblood” unless you have some vintage video around.

I’m thinking about seeing if I can get some cameos (or at least voice cameos “hey kid, down in front”) from actual Mets or Howie. With Gooden on twitter I am thinking big, I just don’t know what to ask for yet.

I also think I will switch up the Opening Credits just so the two production sessions stand apart. Here’s some images I am considering. Hopefully they all get you in your fuzzy spot.

If you’re new to the series, scroll down and you’ll see “1986” and I will repost “1987” today at noon.

  1. I have a couple of Bob Murphy sound bytes on my site. I don’t know how they’d fit in with ‘How I Met the Mets’, but I’m sure you can find a way to get his voice in there.
