So I have an opportunity to get some time with Doug Sisk.
So far I have said no.
Now even to me that’s weird. Here I am with my fancy schmancy blog, and I have an opportunity to talk to a 1986 Met.
I just don’t know what I’d ask.
I could go all Kevin Farley on him, “Hey remember when you saved Seaver’s first game back? That was cool.”
Some generic Game 6 question? Some generic Carter question? What’s he gonna say, that he hates Gary?
The problem is that I spent several years booing The Torch. I’d sit there with my fellow punk teenage friends (probably a few seats over from a 20-something greg Prince) and when Doug came in we booed. In an Ollie kind of way.
I don’t know what a look back at his stats will show, but my memory of those times is that Doug would come in and give up a run.
Maybe we should meet, he’s probably an awesome dude. He has a ring, so I respect him, but I think for now I’ll hide out in the uppers, let GKR handle the interviews and I’ll wait for my big chance with Lee Mazzilli.
You do mean Chris Farley right? not his brother Kevin Farley.
