Mets Yearbook 1977 1:30 Tuesday

Greg from F&F reminds us to set the DVRs to SNY at 1:30pm

You will want to see propaganda take off in new and unpredictable directions. You’ll want to hear new manager Joe Torre explain (from a horse farm in an undisclosed location) how he’s stopped thinking of the atrocity that was committed on June 15 of that year as the Tom Seaver trade and has begun to think of it as the Steve Henderson trade.

  1. Along with returning regulars Lee Mazzilli, Steve Henderson, Lenny Randle and Doug Flynn, the Mets expect big things from developing young stars such as Bruce Boisclair…Dan Norman…pitchers Juan Berenguer…Roy Lee Jackson…and Mike Bruhert. With a return to form of Jerry Koosman…established newcomers Ken Henderson and Willie Montanez…the return of Tim Foli…and a full year under skipper Joe Torre, 1978 looks to be the start of a new era of winning baseball at Shea!
