When did the NL start reporting paid attendance vs. people actually attending? I think it was about 10 years ago…anyway, nowhere near 2.3 Million people saw the Mets this year.
Francesa confirming on the air now what I said Sunday…they are lowering the left field wall and putting seats behind it….and bringing other fences in as well.
Francesa doesn’t know anything. He probably saw what Randy over at ReadtheApple.com came up with, which the NY TIMES published. Until it comes from the Mets organization itself, I am not going to believe what is just speculated in the media. As for the attendance, yeah I wish they gave the attendance and not tickets sold as the number.
I saw Collins say he thought moving the fences in will get his hitters excited and energized for next year, so it sounds like a done deal.
And the thought of me having a steak for dinner gets me excited too when it is being discussed with friends. But I could still end up having cold cuts. I am just saying until it is confirmed by the Mets organization at a press conference or in a press release, I am not going to say it is definitely being done.
And I am sure the visiting teams hitters are excited too at the prospect of moving the fences in. It seems like every other team except the Mets can hit a HR at citi field as it is. The fences aren’t the problem. The pitching is
