Mets shake up coaching staff: Mookie no longer 1B coach

The Mets today announced that Bench Coach Ken Oberkfell, Third Base Coach Chip Hale, First Base Coach Mookie Wilson and Bullpen Coach Jon Debus will not return to the major league club for the 2012 season.

I will miss Chip Hale.  He knows how a baseball team should dress.

And the timing on Mookie…do you think anyone will be talking about Mookie in the next few weeks?

  1. Chip was going to the Oakland A’s as soon as Bob Melvin took the managers job.

    I was surprised the pitching coach did not get fired, Mookie is a bit of a surprise.
