Actually, the Mets wore black jerseys 55 times (10 at home, 45 on the road). Amassing a record of 29-26 (7-3 at home, 22-23 on the road).
If you want to get crazy, numbers show the Mets should wear Hybrid hats ALWAYS.
In the 46 times (10 at home, 36 on the road) the Hybrids were worn, the Mets went 28-18 (7-3 at home, 21-15 on the road). That’s a ~.609 winning percentage.
But also using that logic, the Mets should always wear the Stars & Stripe caps, since they have a .667 winning percentage wearing them.
They were also 2-1 in blue jerseys (Los Mets and BP)…that equates to 108-54 over a full season…where have I seen that record before?
