What will 2012 Mets Jacket Look Like?

Terrence asked me if I could photoshop what the 2012 Mets jacket could possibly look like. He told me that he heard the new jacket is supposed look like the 2011 but with orange replacing the black.

  1. Wow!…What a difference. That looks great! I would get one of those! I hope they are available or something like it in PSL this Sat.

Nice job. I hope they follow your lead.

  2. You know I’ve been waiting to comment on this subject but held off as to not sound petty after all the fantastic changes they already made. But if thats what it’s gonna look like I’m pickin one up too. That looks sharp. Makes you wonder why they never saw this before. Just on a side topic it would look great with the NY in orange too.

    1. I was thinking that an NY would look good too, and quite fitting for the 50th celebration.
The Mets have actually offered their warmup pullovers with orange instead of black a couple of seasons ago

      1. Does the template allow for the NY or is the same script as the jersey required? I looked at the MLB shop and it seems that the jackets match the jersey fronts.

        1. The template doesn’t seem to have caused any problems for the National, Cubs, White Sox, or Reds. And obviously, there is no MLB requirement to have matching logo/wordmark on the jackets: see NY Yankees

          1. All those teams have jacket logos that match jersey logos, except the Yankees home jacket which says Yankees and the jersey has the NY. They also have a road jersey that says NEW YORK to match their road jersey. There may be no requirement, but it seems someone at MLB really recommends keeping the jacket logo the same as a jersey logo.

  3. The Mets don’t have to go with additional color panels on the sides and under the sleeves.
Before some “expert” states that is the MLB template, so the Mets have to use it, the LA Angels have single color jackets and warmup pullovers. Just like their single color BP jerseys. Which, supposedly, as one “expert stated”, the Mets couldn’t do, since it wasn’t according to the MLB template. Until they did.

    1. The manager at the team store at Citi Field said they should look like this. Its just the Black replace by orange.
