It’s weird to have all this actual Mets News after the off-season cycle, but baseball is back and I am glad there is an adult in the room:
Alderson indicated that the Mets would not hurry to the majors any of their three highly regarded pitching prospects: Matt Harvey, Jeurys Familia or Zack Wheeler. The front office has emphasized the importance of building a farm system and developing players at an appropriate pace.
“I’d be very surprised if we broke from that timetable,” Alderson said.
