My take on what the full piece is saying is that while Collins has been great for the Mets, and has the right attitude, he’s here at the wrong time for it to translate into much winning.
I agree with that and feel the same way about Sandy. Perhaps Collins can set the right tone that can carry into future winning if and when certain organizational problems are corrected and we can afford better players again in one of the biggest markets in the world.
