Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hopefully I am still asleep…and I am looking forward to seeing what the Mets wear today. Hopefully one of my minions will get some screengrabs posted.

Between shots, players like Daniel Murphy and Jason Bay posed for photographs or signed autographs for children. Meanwhile, the adult fans in the crowd talked about baseball, the Mets chances for this season—and about the thrill of seeing their favorite players from such a vantage point.
“How many other teams are doing something like this?” said Joe Lodge, a Mets fan from Freehold, N.J., visiting with his teenage son. “It shows a paradigm shift with the team, that everyones buying in to what theyre doing.”

“The future of bowling night, however, came into question earlier this week. Bullpen catcher Eric Langill crashed his car while driving back from the alley Sunday and was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. On Wednesday, the Mets suspended Langill for seven days without pay and ordered him to seek counseling.General manager Sandy Alderson said Monday that the incident “does raise some concern” about bowling night, but he stressed that the arrest happened several hours after the official team event concluded. Several players said this week that, as far as they knew, bowling night had not been canceled.
