Dodgers rise 75%, Mets fall another 4% in ‘Forbes’ rankings

The Mets, whose owners agreed to pay up to $162 million in a settlement related to the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, were valued at $719 million and were one of two major league teams to decrease in value over the past year, according to Forbes. However, the Mets’ settlement with the trustee for Madoff’s fraud victims left open the possibility they might pay much less.
