The campaign to get Daniel Murphy on the All Star Team starts now

Hello fellow bloggers, if you would like to add this nice 300×250 box to your website just grab the code at the bottom of this post.

The rest of you, click on the box and vote for all the Mets (at the top of the page it clicks through to you’ll see ‘”select a team to highlight all players.”)

I don’t want to see a bunch of stupid Marlins, Braves, Phillies or Nationals out there.  Let’s get the Mets on the All Star Field…and you know who should be the second baseman.  Maybe even someday MLB will tell us where the 2013 game is.

Click the box.

And if you are a blogger here’s some code.  If you’re sketchy at WordPress (that’s you @lagranderusty) just add a “text” widget to your sidebar and paste this code.  The link is already part of it.

  1. I am not sure that I can get behind this campaign yet. I just don’t think it is right just to vote for players because they are Mets and are not the best at their position.

In 1957 the Cinn Reds fans “Stuffed the ballot box” and elected practically their whole starting team. That led to the fans losing the right to vote and the players and managers took over.

Right now Murph is #32 in fielding and #5 in hitting. At this point in time I don’t think he deserves to be an All Star!

  2. What we really need is to get a Ruben Tejada campaign going (#imwith11)…

Seriously though, let’s make sure we get as many Mets in that beautiful new road gray uniform of ours to KC.
