The “Bring Back Mettle the Mule” one was really well done. Some of the banners were really clever, I was really happy to see all the work people put in to them, and I couldn’t have been happier with the winner. Thanks for the great work on the blog!
I think the right banner won…of course, that one should have won Banner Day 2002, which never ocurred. Better late than never. Next year, we can go back to a clever, light-hearted banner winning.
I don’t care what the official results were, “Bring Back Mettle the Mule” was the best banner at Citi Field today. 🙂

My first, Gotta admit banner day as a spectator was fun. It really was a great day to celebrate the NY Mets.
a lot of great banners. about 300 of them. and I don’t know about all of you, I had a lot of fun marching and actually being part of it. I was done early enough that I could get the camera out and watch other banners marching.
congrats Shannon, because I definitely believe that this wouldn’t be possible without your campaigning. on Sunday, there was one voted winner, but I think we really were all winners.
It was great. I don’t know if “300” is a lot but it made for a 70 minute parade so it can’t be a bad number.
