MURPHY SETS MARK: Daniel Murphy hit .523 (23-44) at home in July, the highest home batting average in team history for a calendar month…The previous mark was held by Darryl Hamilton who batted .486 (18-37) at home in August, 1999…The last major leaguer to hit over .500 (min. 40 plate appearances) at home was Cleveland’s Jamey Carroll (.525) in June, 2008…Research courtesy of the Elias Sports Bureau.
MORE MURPH: Daniel Murphy has 12 hits (six for extra bases) in his last 22 at-bats (.545)…Over his last 23 games, dating to June 26, he is hitting .419 (36-86) with 18 RBI and 17 extra-base hits.

MIKE BAXTER: Went 1-3 with a run scored and two walks last night for Buffalo (AAA) of the International League at Louisville…He played 10 innings in rightfield…Baxter is hitting .333 (12-36) with three doubles, six RBI and three runs scored in 10 rehabilitation games.
FRANK FRANCISCO: Threw 0.2 innings and allowed three hits, one run, earned, with one walk and one strikeout yesterday for Binghamton (AA) at New Britain…He threw 24 pitches, 14 strikes in his first rehabilitation game…Francisco has been on the 15-Day Disabled List since June 23 with a left oblique strain.

DAVID WRIGHT: Ranks second in the majors with a .430 on-base percentage, sixth with a .340 batting average, tied for fifth with 30 doubles and tied for 10th with 67 RBI.
JORDANY VALDESPIN: Has hit in 14 of his last 18 games with an at-bat, compiling a .400 (20-50) batting average with five home runs and 12 RBI…He ranks second in the majors with a 4.36 RBI per at-bat ratio (min. 90 at-bats)…Valdespin leads the majors with five pinch-hit home runs and 10 pinch-hit RBI…He is tied for fifth among NL rookies with seven home runs.
IKE DAVIS: Hit his team-leading 16th home run yesterday…Davis is hitting .278 (37-133) with 11 home runs and 35 RBI over his last 37 games…Since June 12, Davis is tied for fourth in the National League with 11 home runs.

ON THE ROAD: New York has lost seven of their last eight road games and are 21-25 overall on the road this year…David Wright leads the majors with a .390 road batting average.
