I have heard this before that Shea had light green walls for a short period. Look carefully..

What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.
Not for a short period – from its opening to the late 70s?. They weren’t really “light” green, but looked that way in bright sunshine.
Here’s Shea in ’78 – same walls. http://4192cards.com/rose/oddball/79-84/images/1979%20New%20York%20Mets%20-%201978%20Shea%20Stadium%20Hit%20Streak%20Commemorative%20Photo.jpg
I know and remember them being green, but I believe I read on UniWatch that they were a different green for a few weeks. Maybe I misunderstood. Will check with Lukas.
Tom, not the same walls..trust me i worked there..they were light green for a few months in ’67…then back to original color
this was a short lived experiment. notice the OF numbers are painted black. they went back to the darker green/white numbers not too long into the season.
BTW this must be a nice video for Seaver to be able to look back on.
I would love to know why this exists. This is clearly not the broadcast film; perhaps a family member of TS filmed this?
