On Jan. 10, Lewin went in to the hospital. Four hours later, Gonzales was done removing a ping-pong-ball-sized tumor.
The tumor was benign; the chances of it returning, slim.
“He said, ‘Had it been another centimeter to the right, we would have had to clip your facial nerves to get it out,’” Lewin said.
