Are you struggling to make it to the end of Mets season?

The Finish Strong Mets are 2-9 in their last 11 and hopefully will have DavidWright back soon. I’m struggling t watch these games. I do watch them because I love the twitter hang (@metspolice) and I know it’s a long way to the spring.

But I’m looking at this weekend. I guess I will make it tonight even though I would rather watch Star Trek. Tomorrow we are faced with 7 hours of Mets-Marlins. I don’t think I can do that. Time is too precious to sit in front of a TV from 4 until 11 watching Mets-Marlins.

Then on Sunday it’s Red Zone or Mets-Marlins. Again , no contest.

By the way, I tried watching one NFL game last night. It is awful. Way too many stops and commercials. The adrenaline rush of Red Zone is one thing, but last night’s game was brutal. And were those announcers named Rusty and Fran?

Anyways, the Mets are selling 2014 Season Tickets. Right now I can barely be bothered to sit in front of a TV.

How are you coping?

  1. This is about a whole lot of Mets fans who need to accept something about themselves. They are front-runners.

    Yep, front-runners.

How many “Mets fans” do you know who say they are only going to watch when Harvey pitches. Or who mumble something about how they will be back when the team is good again.

These “big Mets fans” are front-runners. By definition. They only come out when they going is good. When the going gets tough they can’t be bothered.

  2. Right on, Schlitzy. I’ll be at both games tomorrow. Why? It’s Mets baseball, and I’ll miss it incredibly come October. And November. And…

  3. I was at four games this week. I am 50/50 about going to double header today, but I will be at the game tomorrow.
