The Final @Mets Game of the Year Thoughts and Video

This season was another season of MEH. My cousin (Shannon) and I knew this team wasn’t going to be improved this year. I set my sights real low and I didn’t get disappointed. I enjoyed going to spring training games, seeing #IMWITH28 do well again this year and see some baseball. I got to meet some more new cool people through going to the games and twitter. Went to Chicago for the first time to catch a Mets/Cubs game with 500 other Mets fans that travelled from NY and other parts of the US.

I got to enjoy the All Star game for the first time in person. I was able to see a lot of the new players come up,also got to see some older players have reenergized years and then be traded to a playoff contender.I I get to hang with my cousin and his kids at games. It’s a fun family time where the kids want to know things about the game. Some of the new farmhands that came up seem promising but I am not banking on anything until they become proven. I will be there hoping that they pan out.

I also got  to see this team just linger in mediocrity. Some people ask me why do I go to games. I go to games not only because it relaxes me but also because of the sense of community and friendship I have struck up over the last few seasons. I would like to name all of you but I do know that if I tried that I would forget some of you because I am writing this at 11:30 at night. Hopefully the Mets will do better next year. Well anyway guys, here is the video from Sunday’s game that I put together.

  1. Great video Goon. I was in my section of 515. I already had tix when Darren put these on sale. See ya at the Queens Baseball Convention.

    DAve.

    1. I sold the ones I had when Darren told me he was doing the game. Sold them at face so I could sit with the 7 line crew. And thanks about the video
