Austin Mohone Will Be A Part of Mets Concert Series

Okay, I’m now officially old, who is this? But it’s cool the Mets are starting to get more “relevant” acts. That move to WOR seems to be working for this at least.

FLUSHING, N.Y., December 20, 2013 – The New York Mets today announced Austin Mahone will play at Citi Field on Saturday, September 27 following the 7:10 p.m. Mets-Astros game. The MTV Artist to Watch will perform as part of the 2014 Mets Concert Series presented by Duane Reade, joining previously announced artists 50 Cent, Huey Lewis and the News, and Boyz II Men on the schedule.

Tickets for all post-game concerts are on sale now at Mets.com and (718) 507-TIXX. Admission to the concert is included in the price of the game ticket.

Mahone, a 17-year-old singer/songwriter, is poised for stardom with several hit singles on iTunes including “What About Love,” which peaked at No. 7, “Say You’re a Friend,” and “Banga! Banga!,” which climbed as high as No. 14. Mahone is a featured performer at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment’s Jingle Ball shows across the country, including a December 13 date for Z100 at Madison Square Garden in New York. He is also headlining the MTV Artist to Watch Tour in 2014.
