Let’s take a look.
Looking at the various nation themed nights – Irish night gets a variant of Mr. Met with stylized attire and headwear (although Mr. Met is not decked out in red hair now). The nights for Israel and Korea do not get a stylized Mr. Met but Oktoberfest does get a Mr. Met with stylized attire and headwear. Perhaps they will wear special caps.
June 12th is CosPlay night. I really hope this one catches on. If you aren’t hip to CosPlay the Cos is for costumes. Sometimes people dress like this…
And sometimes people dress like this…
But hey if we can evolve Mets Police into some sort of CosPlay/You Own This Jersey hybrid blog – that works for me. I guess I need a costume for CosPlay night.
I’d also like to work more Star Wars into the blog…so it is good the Mets have Star Wars night on July 11th. Hopefully Asoka will make it to the game..
There is also Zombie Night – which not only makes for great jokes about how the Mets are a dead team walking, but means I can make @mediagoon shoot some more footage for The Walking Mets.
As much as I like to bust the Mets’ chops – these are some fun themes. I hope to make as many as I can. Nice job. Fun is a good thing.
what ever happened to people going to the stadium to ACTUALLY WATCH A GAME, eat a hot dog, drink a beer and go home. Its beyond pathetic at this stage of the game.
