Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Email me your idea at [email protected]. Today’s idea comes from Gary.
I’ve long had a vision of the area surrounding Citi Field becoming a hot spot. A reason for casual fans or friends of fans to come out to the park and enjoy themselves. I went to PNC Park last summer and there was a bar open to everybody with a ticket in right field, with reasonably priced drinks, overlooking the river and city. Also the rooftop bar at Coors Field is another example. I want something like that at Citi Field in left field which is where the best scenery would be. A huge bar open to everybody with a good view, beers cheaper than $9, and Mets memorabilia everywhere. I get money is an issue but it could end up being a huge revenue draw if they did it right.
you know what – tear down the seats in LF in the Promenade level, create the bar, and call it “Kiner’s Korner Bar”
