Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Email me your idea at [email protected]. Today’s idea is from Adam.
Have the broadcast pre-game show in an open area in the stadium (Shea Bridge, Rotunda, bullpen area, etc.). I saw a game at Nationals Park and Ray Knight and his partner were right where you walk in before the game.
I like it. Easy. Cheap(ish). The Devils do it, it can be done.
Adam is right. As you enter Nationals Park from the main entrance (and pass the statues of famous players in Washington baseball history), take a few steps to the right and you see a small TV booth where Ray Knight (sigh) and Johnny Holliday do the pre- and post-game shows. There isn’t enough room in the Citi Field Rotunda but you could find a space in the Shake Shack area.
