Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Email me your idea at [email protected]. Today’s idea is from Mariobro
Partial Plans are the blue collar life blood of the team, so many partial plan holders complain that they have to drop their plan and they can get better deals on a game to game basis but attracting and keeping partial plan holders is something the front office is always working on.
The solution is to recognize the non-corporate small fan with a tiered anniversary for partial plans who keep their plans.
There should be prizes for each plateau. 2yr-5-yr-8yr-10 yr and so on.
The top plateau should be the ability to purchase playoff ticket (different section obviously) for every possible playoff game, I have seen good years come and go and when the Mets are down we are their best friend but in those rare up years, they act like they are doing us a favor.
Eventually things come back to earth and the front runners and tag alongs leave while the die hards remain.
When those playoff days return who better to reward than a plan holder of 15/20 years.
After all, the longtime partial plan holders are some of the Met’s biggest supporters, who else should be at every game when the playoffs one day miraculously occur?
The Mets sold a lot of tickets when the stadium was new and the years they were in playoff contention but it is the diehards that come out and keep supporting the team when the mets are miserable. I think many fans would keep their plan if they knew that ultimately when the days come they will be rewarded with playoff tickets. Then it wouldn’t matter what promo they ran for the non-season ticket holder or how cheap you can get tickets on the secondary market. Lets Go Mets!

Works for me…I think I know what the Mets’ counter-argument will be, but who knows maybe they will take this suggestion.
WHAT IS THE COUNTER-ARGUMENT?
i like season ticket rewards. i can tell you that under new ownership, a local hockey team is rewarding season ticket holders at each 5 year milestone (i don’t know about plan holders), but they’re counting based on the date an account was created, which could have been years earlier. anything to reward the local fans.
