I was channel surfing last night and remembered the World Series was on. I looked at the score box and then clicked off. This happened a few times during the night.
I just don’t care.
I love hanging with you all during Mets games, but I have just zero interest in anything else. On paper I would like the Formerly New York Giants to win, but it’s a long road from that sentiment to actually staring at a baseball game, especially one produced in the “national broadcast for casual fans” style.
I don’t mean to take your enjoyment away. I just feel guilty that I don’t appreciate it. I’m also ignoring a 9:30am NFL game right now if that makes you feel better.
I totally get it SS. I’ve watched maybe 3 innings the entire series. I think it’s Mets fatigue, really. So hard to appreciate good baseball when, for so many years, we’re programmed to watch horrendous baseball for the most part. Oh how I hope this changes — soon.
metspolice no but you should watch. Winter begins when the final out is made
“GL0401: metspolice no but you should watch. Winter begins when the final out is made” No interest, and the games are too late
.GL0401 i keep sharing this graphic bc i don’t get why MLB/NFL don’t want people to see the ends of games. http://twitter.com/metspolice/status/526529385248350208/photo/1
metspolice GL0401 The ratings improve as the games go on. It’s beneficial to start the games later.
metspolice I agree with time. I will be asleep by fifth inning|third quarter. Been watching sports for 12 freakin hours today
WakefieldsBoss do you have breakdowns I could read? (sincere not jerky) – would love to see it.
metspolice It’s very consistent. http://Zap2it.com has decent ratings reports. So does TV by the numbers.
WakefieldsBoss (again not being jerky) i know those sites but they wrap one big #, would love to see hourly splits. or do i just not see em
metspolice They almost always break it down at least in the text. Next time I see a good one, I’ll send it your way.
WakefieldsBoss cool yeah would love to meaningfully discuss it
metspolice mlb will never go up against the nfl on sunday but a saturday afternoon game would be great
“nickschiavo: metspolice mlb will never go up against the nfl on sunday but a saturday afternoon game would be great” yes yes
metspolice but you are missing one of the best postseasons in a very long time, its been awesome
.nickschiavo even one Sat 5pm ET game would be way better for the kids
metspolice Oscar Tavares rip
thefrownyface terrible news
metspolice I’m sick to my stomach crying in bed
metspolice 10000% agree i hate having to send my son to bed after a half inning
metspolice its a problem mlb needs to address if they wanna get kids to grow to love the game
metspolice Plays great in the north. South wouldn’t watch. College football. nickschiavo
nickschiavo metspolice guys, I am 24 years old. Games started at the same times when I was a child.
metspolice nickschiavo hold on, you mean kids can watch? I don’t think MLB knows this.
MostlyNoles metspolice solid point, dont know if theres any good way to resolve the ‘problem’
willmusto metspolice and at what age was the first time you watched a full world series game
.nickschiavo willmusto I’m of the age of watching both full playoff game series – one would be at 3 and one at night.
nickschiavo metspolice 10, when the Mets were in the WS.
metspolice nickschiavo first pitch should be at 7 for each game. Sat day game doesn’t work.
RMDomal metspolice i wonder what a west coast fans pov is on this
nickschiavo metspolice its 15 percent of the country. The other 85 percent should matter the most.
sorry, but at some point if you cant watch then you may have to say that you arent so much a baseball fan as a mets fan. nothing wrong with that, just a different approach. i can enjoy the world series no matter who is in it because…baseball.
