Hey @Mets are we doing Banner Day or not?

Continuing my position of blogging about what’s on my mind whether or not @mediagoon posted about it while I was away….

So while I was out of the country I would occasionally find some wifi and check my email.  My inbox lit up with people panicked that Banner Day is not on the 2015 schedule.

Here’s what I know:

– Trusted source says the Mets have not confirmed to him it is returning after he inquired.

– Different trusted source tells me Banner Day will return

– at Banner Day 2014 they announced Banner Day 2015

– Insider who would know has told me that they have been happy with Banner Day and that it should continue year after year (that’s neither a quote nor a paraphrase, just my take on Insider’s vibe.)

My take:

They announced the promotional schedule in terms of giveaways, but there’s plenty of room on the calendar to announce Banner Day, Heritage Nights, Concerts, or even an Old Timers’ Day (the latter won’t happen).

Despite the team not yet confirming Banner Day 2015 to trusted source, I am not worried.  There’s a long way to Spring Training.
