1.  The Gil Hodges Award Ceremony

The Gil Hodges award will be presented to someone who played for the New York Mets and is beloved.  Last year we even had a surprise guest in Art Shamsky who dropped in on the QBC!

2.  Uni Watch Presents: The Greatest Discussion Of Mets Uniforms Of All Time II

A smash hit last year, the room was packed as Paul Lukas of Uni Watch assembled the greatest minds in Mets uniforms.  Last year was the reveal that the Mets colors were almost pink and black.  What will happen this year?

3.   The Wally Backman Panel moderated by Adam Rubin

4.  The retired numbers Panel

No, Keith Hernandez isn’t coming (although he is welcome), but we will be holding a discussion of What Numbers Should The Mets Retire?  Join us as we discuss 1, 8, 16, 17, 18, 31, 36 and whatever other number you’d like to throw out for discussion.

8.  This snazzy t-shirt

Get your tickets soon before we close down the Ticket & Tee offer (we have to know how many to order).  It’s a nice looking quality t-shirt.  Don’t miss out.

9.  The Jersey Parade

You know what was shockingly awesome last year?  The Jersey Parade.  Wear your finest authentic or your most ridiculous Bonilla replica with holes in it and march from one end of the bar to the other as we lovingly mockingly comment.  It was amazingly fun.

The Queens Baseball Convention is Saturday January 10th at McFadden’s Citi Field.  Get Tickets now!

We’ll be announcing more cool stuff soon including a panel with executives from a local baseball team, the super-cool emcee of the Mazzy Awards – you may know his voice from listening to baseball games on the radio, more mascots, more guests and more more!

  1. QBConvention my kid wants to know if there will be a drawing contest again or what other kids stuff there will be.

  2. @verceman QBConvention We had a low response to the kid related stuff this year, so we focused on the hits which were Players and Panels. We thought there would be more demand for the kids stuff too but there wasn’t.
