Murph was relatively hot, scorchingly so for this team, and Terry didn’t start him today. How is Murphy supposed to step up from the bench?
Any why is there a law that Flores can never move? Can’t an adult say, “Hey man, we love you but we’re a stronger team today with you at third and Tejada at SS.” Instead two guys played at a weaker position because reasons.
And Murph was on the bench? Is Murph now magically rested from getting up, heading to Wrigley, doing whatever warmups and then sitting around all day? Is it that taxing to bat three additional times and field 8 innings on a cool Chicago day?
