Personally I think the Subway Series brings out the worst in both fanbases and you are crazy to buy standing room. And I don’t think Citi holds a crowd well.
But I’m a curmudgeon so feel free to stand 15 rows deep 500 feet from home with your pals.
On the other hand it’s nice to see a Saturday day game for once. I thought those don’t draw?

FLUSHING, N.Y., August 1, 2015 – With limited ticket inventory available for the Mets’ Saturday, September 19 game vs. the Yankees (1:05 p.m. start), the team has placed Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets on sale at Mets.com/Tickets and by phone at (718) 507-TIXX.
The final Subway Series matchup of the 2015 regular season vs. the Yankees takes place Friday, September 18 – Sunday, September 20 at Citi Field. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets for the Subway Series and all remaining home games in the second half of the season at Mets.com/Tickets.
Second half highlights at Citi Field include:
August 14-16 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – A weekend matchup against a tough NL Central division opponent which will feature Free Shirt Friday (August 14) presented by Premio Real Italian Sausage for all fans in attendance, a NE-YO post-game concert presented by Pepsi on Super Saturday (August 15), and Family Sunday (August 16) is a Travis d’Arnaud Magnetic Card presented by Gulf for the first 15,000 fans in attendance.
August 28-30 vs. Boston Red Sox – The Red Sox make their first regular season appearance at Citi Field. Friday (August 28) is Free Shirt Friday presented by Pepsi for all fans, Super Saturday (August 29) is a 1986 World Championship Bobblehead giveaway for the first 15,000 fans in attendance courtesy of Verizon, and Family Sunday (August 30) is a Toy Truck giveaway courtesy of W.B. Mason for the first 15,000 fans in attendance.
September 18-20 vs. New York Yankees – The continuation of the Subway Series takes place at Citi Field.
