Mediagoon’s Mets Musings(falling skies, Harvey Dent, The7line)

I am going to steal the format style of Shannon’s last post.

 The Mets Playoff hopes

Calm down all of you who are freaking out over two losses. The Mets were due. They were super hot and the law of averages would imply they were due for a loss or two. Of course the losses would come at the hands of the Marlins because that’s what the Marlins do to the Mets. They spoil good times.

In my head I was thinking good they got the losses out of the way now, so I won’t feel like they “will” lose against the Yankees.

Matt Harvey. I love how everyone is calling him Two-Face Matt Harvey “Dent” now. I came up with that back in spring trading because for some reason Shannon and I had a feeling something would happen where people starting disliking him. Did I know it would be the innings limit. Nope. I thought it would be something media driven, not agent driven.

 The 7line

I am sure you are all aware that I am friends with Darren. For you haters out there. He is not what you say he is. He works his ass off and he tries to give Mets fans awesome products and great outings. He worked hard to get the playoff ticket opportunity for the7linearmy. He tried to make it fair for everyone and in business not everyone is going to be happy. Just think of all the times you tried to buy tickets for a concert or an event through ticketmaster and everything sells out in a few mins. Not the promoters fault. Just a high demand. It happens.

The part of it that was horrible, were that some of the people who bought tickets put them up on stubhub right away for triple the face value. Yeah I know “capitalism”. The7linearmy wasn’t built on that. I’ve been going to outings since the one on the Party Deck. I have missed the Bronx outing and SF. I’ve hit every other one. And do you know what I have gotten from all those outings? A whole bunch of friends who I never would have met(probably) if it wasn’t for The7line outings. It’s supposed to be to cheer with fellow fans that are diehards that love to cheer with each other. We look out for each other and for someone who betrays that family vibe by putting tickets up after Darren in the email said,”Please don’t by them just to resell them on stubhub”, just not cool. The The7linearmy is not an exclusive club. Anyone can join it if you buy a ticket to an outing whether home or away. Just be cool to each other. And Darren, keep doing what you are doing. The good you do for fans outweighs the cranky people who just don’t get it.

 Subway Series-

I am excited for this weekend. I’ll be there Sat and Sun. Sunday I am going to be grouchy because it’s a night game. I hate you ESPN.

 Let’s Go Mets.
