How are you guys going tonight/this morning? Stomachs back to normal from being queasy? The nervous sweat all wiped off of your brows? Did you hit the store already to get your Mets “We Want it More!” merchandise from your local sports store?
I am ecstatic folks. I was sitting on set tonight on pins and needles watching the game with a few other teamsters and we couldn’t get away from the screen. The best part about it is that we all believed that the Mets were going to win. I’m not kidding. There was none of the usual the Mets will blow this game talk.
I enjoyed the hell out of this game. Murphy was locked in again. Just that play of stealing third with the Duda walk and the Dodgers sleeping shows you how dialed in he is. What about Syndergaard coming out of the pen and shutting the Dodgers down? Familia doing familiar things. I am sounding like a Steve Somers monologue right now and I don’t care. Murphy coming through with another clutch HR.
I am probably going to be working until 3 or 4 am and I won’t be able to sleep when I get home. I am so juiced.
