Guys, you broke the system.

This reminds me of comic books and of baseball cards.

Once upon a time you collected 700 Topps cards and you were done.  Then came along Fleer and Donruss and Upper Deck and rookie cards and eight million variants and…..if you can’t collect them all, I choose to collect none.

Once upon a time I collected comics (Tom Seaver was still a Met).  I could buy my monthly Spiderman, F4, X-Men and maybe The Avengers (the Avengers were not what they are now in terms of OH WOW THE AVENGERS).  Then they started with Secret Wars and West Cost Avengers and 8 million X-Men spinoffs and 4 Spiderman titles a month and….forget it I’m out.

That’s how I feel now about MLB Merch.  Too much guys.  You really walked to the edge with the Camo and All Star stuff the last few years but now this spring stuff….too much.

And then there is the escalation in prices.  $35 caps.  And how about the price on these jerseys?  Are you kidding me?

a $312.99 jersey
