Mets’ June Slate Presents Plenty Of Value For Fans On Tickets

The New York Mets (27-19), winners of five of their last six, currently sit just a half-game behind the Washington Nationals for first place in the National League East. New York cut into Washington’s early season lead by taking two of three games at Nationals Park earlier this week. The two clubs will likely be locked into a season-long battle for NL East supremacy, so expect this rivalry to last all summer and into the early fall.

In order to keep pace with Washington, New York will need to keep winning series against inferior opponents. New York’s slate of games in June offers some opportunities to do so. While New York will spend the first half of the month on the road, its road series against Miami, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee should present opportunities to bolster the win column. New York will travel home in the middle of the month to host Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Kansas City at Citi Field before hitting the road again to face Atlanta and Washington. An overview of New York’s upcoming home games in June is presented below.
