#GiveBackNewYork: Mets and Yankees both 57-56 .504

apes

Good morning.  The Mets, led by their sexy young pitching, are 57-56, that’s one game over .500, .504 baseball.  They are in “the window” for making the playoffs several years in a row.

Meanwhile, the Yankees are a complete dumpster fire.  They are selling players and retiring others, and playing .504 baseball with a record of 57-56.

The Mets are 2.5 games out of the second Wild Card.  They will win that one game, by scoring maybe two runs, and then steamroll through three rounds of playoffs.

I heard Josh Lewin make a quick reference to waiting for players to get back from injuries.  Other than Cespedes, who is the most important component of the team, who exactly are we waiting on?  Reyes?  It’s not like Duda or Wright or Harvey are actually coming back.

So much for winning over the next generation of fans.  #GiveBackNewYork t-shirts are now on sale at your local kiosks.
