The short unofficial history of the New York Mets

As part of my podcast prep for this week’s I’d Just As Soon Kiss A Mookiee, I plan on arguing with Jason Fry about the History of the Mets.

Here’s my premise.  I should be able to quickly mention a moment (say “Beltran”) and you know exactly what it means.  This goes back to my premise that the Chavez catch was overrated, as was the Piazza HR although I’m gonna include that one because people insist on talking about it.

I’m doing this cold.  One take.  If I forget something you can make fun of me.  I’ll discuss this on the next ‘cast with Jason.

OK here goes….
