Take of this what you will, but folks are telling me on twitter that there wasn’t all that much available Opening Day inventory during the Mets ticket presales.
It is possible that the Mets have gigantic blocks of Opening Day tickets parked for the general sale. It is possible that there are tickets being held back to incorporate into some packages yet to reveal themselves (as often happens.) Or it is possible the Mets just want to play in front of 871 people on Opening Day. I love words like possible and could. Oh, it’s also possible that there are tons of tickets and everyone on twitter is lying to me.
Anyways, we shall see.

But wait there’s more. I had just scheduled this post for tomorrow morning when I saw the Mets were doing a social media presale. I was on it immediately. And…..
Whadadaya know? No Opening Day tickets available. (I know its blurry, trust me)
Fret not Mets fans, they will sell Standing Room eventually and make it so we can’t even move and can miss four innings in a bathroom line. Why do we even bother?
Though tickets could be sold out via the Mets site, there will be Mets Opening Day tickets available on the resale market. Currently, the get-in price is $91 for Opening Day, making it one of the most expensive opening games for MLB tickets across the league.
